COVID-19 Travel Information

We care for our visitors and our community, so Noosa supports the current government COVID-19 regulations. Noosa welcomes back Queensland travellers and those from other Australian States and Territories, except Victoria and New South Wales hotspots. For more information, click here

Please see below additional advice regarding ease of restrictions:

The Queensland Government has released a "Roadmap to Recovery" outlining how restrictions will be eased in the Sunshine State. Under the current stage three of Queensland's Roadmap to Recovery:

  • Queenslanders are allowed unlimited travel throughout the state for overnight stays - to book your overnight stay in Noosa now, click here.
  • Travellers from New South Wales (except the hotspots of 34 Local Government Areas of NSW, including all regions of ‘Greater Sydney’), Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory may enter Queensland, subject to completing and signing a border declaration.
  • Many cafes and restaurants across the Noosa Shire are open for dine-in and takeaway under government health regulations (some with reduced hours and capacity, so please phone ahead to book). Find some of the best Noosa eats here.
  • Most businesses are now operating (some with reduced hours), including tours; retailers; beauty centres and spas; recreational hire items and lessons for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, boating and surfing; galleries and more, while adhering to social distancing and good hygiene practices.   • Anyone who has visited any local government area within the State of Victoria or New South Wales hotspots will be turned away at the Queensland border, with the exception of people needed in Queensland for essential purposes. Find out more here.

The Noosa community is committed to upholding COVID-safe requirements to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our visitors and the local community.

Overnight accommodation  

Recreational travel, accommodation and camping is allowed for Queenslanders. Residents of Australian states and territories except the entire state of Victoria and the hotspots in New South Wales may come to Noosa, subject to the successful application of a Border Declaration Pass - please ensure you know your obligations before attempting to cross the border into Queensland.
