From the commercialisation of Cairns Aquarium, Saltwater Eco Tours on the Sunshine Coast, to Mandingal Bay Authentic Indigenous Tours in Cairns, she has successfully brought tourism projects from concept to consumer.
Julie has held senior roles across Regional Tourism Organisations, Councils, publicly listed companies, government-owned corporations, and private enterprises, giving her a deep understanding of different business models and industry operations. As a Queensland Tourism Awards judge and a mentor for Tourism and Events Queensland’s Transformational Visitor Experience Program, she brings invaluable insight into the awards process and how businesses can position themselves for success.
