The team behind Noosa's renowned Sum Yung Guys is thrilled to announce the grand opening of their latest venture, Peli’s, set to launch on 12 September 2024. Located at the picturesque Noosa Marina in Tewantin, Peli’s promises to deliver a modern Mediterranean-inspired dining experience that embraces its stunning waterfront location.
Peli’s is the brainchild of celebrated restaurateurs Matt Sinclair, Michael Rickard and Jeremiah Jones. Known for their culinary innovation and first-class hospitalty, the trio aims to bring a fresh and unforgettable dining experience to Noosa. The restaurant’s unique concept blends a Mediterranean bistro style with a focus on seafood and an array of inventive vegetarian options, all presented in a share-style menu format. With a custom-built charcoal grill as a centerpiece, diners can expect bold flavors and culinary artistry in every dish.
"We’re incredibly excited to open Peli’s," said co-owner Matt Sinclair. "Every time we visited the space, we were greeted by pelicans. The name Peli’s felt like a perfect fit - it captures the essence of the restaurant, the energy of the food, and the atmosphere we want to create."
Jeremiah Jones, who has a well-known passion for design and branding, has led the charge in creating the restaurant’s ambiance. Peli’s boasts a modern Mediterranean coastal vibe, enhanced by the use of natural materials and warm tones, creating a perfect backdrop for both casual dining and special events. With tonnes of natural stone used throughout the venue, from the entryway to the wine wall, bar tops, and even the bathrooms, the design promises to captivate.
"Peli’s offers a truly remarkable atmosphere for weddings and corporate events," Jeremiah explains. "We wanted to create something that feels both sophisticated and inviting, with an unforgettable design that ties into its waterfront location."
Peli’s includes a host of unique features that set it apart from other venues in the area. The restaurant’s 40-seat private dining room which overlooks the water, offers a one-of-a-kind space for intimate gatherings. Perfect for weddings, corporate events and private functions, it is expected to become a sought-after venue on the Sunshine Coast.
